Drop in replacement of the factory knives that come with the Rigid 6 1/8 Jointer and good quality as expected from Freud.
If you have a Sears 6 1/8 Jointer Model#113206931, these blades will fit, but always measure the size of the old blades to be sure. I decided to take a chance on these blades for $17.11 from Amazon. The blades are a perfect match to the old blades. A friend of mine brought over a Sears 6 1/8 jointer he found in the garbage. Since Sears made several different models of jointers. I decided to rebuild it at almost the cost of a new one. It was covered in rust and the motor was missing. Sears wanted $36.99 for the blades plus shipping and tax.
Freud quality and a great price. Hard to find size to fit the Ridgid 6" Jointer.
The knives cut harder woods very well, but they leave a lot of tearout on softer woods. I bought these jointer knives for my Ridgid joiner (jointer, whatever). Possibly my sharpening guy can put a better angle on it or something. Maybe its me or my setup as the other reviews are v.positive, but that's my experience. They are less expensive than the Ridgid knives from Home Depot--which HD does not stock, BTW. They fit perfectly.
You won't be disappointed with them. I installed these knives in my RIDGID jointer. What a tremendous improvement over the factory knives.
